U15 Coaching Approach

Coach requirements

Coaches and bench staff require a Competitive Introduction clinic and complete the accompanied workbook to achieve a "Trained" status.  It is the volunteer's responsibility to complete the required course and the subsequent workbook before the end of the playing season in order to bring their team to Provincials.  The certification process (optional step) also requires an ALA representative to attend your practice and complete an evaluation.  This needs to be coordinated through Lisa Grant at the ALA and is only required should someone want to coach a team in a National competition.  More information on coaching requirements can be found on our website.  

Goalie selection/development 

Goalies should be coming to you with the fundamentals of good goaltending (familiarize yourself with the 10U & 12U Coach Approach pages).  Players at this age can no longer be equipped by the Parkland Posse Lacrosse Association as gear should be custom fit to the size of the player to provide maximum protection.
